My paintings are all about trying to create an image that evokes a brief moment in time, experienced in a particular place. Often it is a fleeting effect of light that becomes embedded as a lasting memory, or a momentary sense of heightened awareness - of being 'in the moment'. We all have these moments of 'being' and, although my memories are personal to me me, I hope that, through art, my paintings may connect with others in a shared experience.
