Silvia Neiger

Switzerland/Mexico

Born in Zürich, Switzerland at January 25, 1949.

After a graphic education in Zurich, she traveled all over the world and finally settled down in Mexico at 1980.
First working in fashion, graphic and interior design, she is increasingly inclined to work in the Visual Arts. Since 2008, she is professionally dedicated to painting in oil and watercolor. Also engraving and drawing with pencil, charcoal and ink are among her favorites.
In recent years, she has dedicated to organizing artistic activities such as exhibitions, festivals and workshops of different types. Between others the 1st International Watercolor Exhibition at the City Museum, in Mexico City, the “Large Size” watercolor exhibition at the National Watercolor Museum “Alfredo Guati Rojo”, Coyoacán, Mexico City and in 2019 the International Watercolor Festival in Lima, Peru. Also in 2019 she organized two international exhibitions at the Watercolor Museum of the State of Mexico, one for artists from Thailand and the other for young South Americans.

2016 – Honorable Mention in the 10th Tláloc Prize, Museum of Watercolor of the State of Mexico, abstract category
2010 – Honorable Mention, Bicentennial Exhibition in the Legislative Palace, Mexico City.
