My name is Federica Maffezzoni and I am a watercolorist. Watercolor has always fascinated me. The rhythm that is created in the encounter between water and color has always conditioned my way of painting. Each line is a dialogue between the mind and the paper, an opportunity to explore my personal vision and transfer it to paper with elegance and passion. Watercolor painting for me is a dance, a rhythmic composition between control and spontaneity where the stain becomes a reason for synthesis and abstraction. Its imperfection allows me to reinvent traditional elements or capture their essence. It becomes for me the dominant moment to convey beauty, spontaneity, poetry. The watercolor thus turns into an emotional journey.
