José Miguel Collantes Depaz

Perù

The window, architectural element and visual link with the outside world. Internalized distances and perspectives. From the architectural plans of domestic distribution of a house, it is derived to a kind of metamorphosis of the memory of these places that contain actions and family memories. This action is reflected in the compositional part of my proposal. Residual three-dimensional elements of our experiences and the humanization of space.
Geometric figures such as the triangle related to spirituality, the square or its derivative, appeal to consciousness and mental processes.
The presence of linear drawings (portraits), shows us the dialogue and correspondence between past and present, the duality of light and darkness, the concrete and ephemeral. This duality has been present since the beginning of humanity and its concern to understand the origin of life and the reason for it.
The memories, mental process that is conditioned to the natural individual selection and its personal importance. Hence, fragmented planes of faces are proposed.
