Fausta D'Ubaldo

Italy

I was born in Rome but I spent most of my childhood in my parent’s countryside house.
There I developed three precocious passions that have accompanied me throughout my life: plants, books and painting. Three very different worlds which often talk to each other.
At the age of 18, after graduating from high school, I went to Belgium where I attended the Belle Academy of Arts in Leuven. I lived with a fine textile artist who taught me a lot.
When I came back to Italy I graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
In 1997 I was lucky enough to meet the maestro Pedro Cano and following his teachings I started using watercolors.
I have a husband, two daughters and a garden full of flowers that I never stop painting.
I am part of the Italian Watercolorists Association and have been teaching painting for many years.
I took part in several solo and group exhibitions around the world.
