I have wanted to be an artist for as long as I know. I studied glass art, but painting is where I find myselt in my element. I have two contradictory desires when it comes to painting style: on one hand, very detailed and time-consuming work with oil on canvas, and on the other, the fast, whirlwind-like, almost unconscious, extremely intense messing with watercolour. My subject is the female body. While the eroticism in my paintings is undeniable, Eros in its agressive aspect is not present. There is softness, tenderness, and abstract emotion that find a representation in the female form - embodying Venus rather than Mars.
