Elmira Shemsedinova (1989) is an artist from Kyiv, Ukraine, based in Graz, Austria.
Elmira holds an MA degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture and is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Elmira Shemsedinova has been exhibiting since 2009. Creating paintings and graphic works and developing her own original approach, she often uses the technique of imitating watercolor with oil paints.
Alla-prima being the preferred technique, Elmira sees painting as a means of visual communication.
As well as expressing her ideas through art, Shemsedinova enjoys rethinking classical paintings.
Identity, originality, and introspection are the main research themes for the artist.
Elmira Shemsedinova has held 7 personal exhibitions and participated in more than 37 collective projects, auctions, and art fairs in Ukraine and abroad to date. Her artworks are in private collections in Europe, the USA, and China.
Elmira actively participates in competitions, international art residencies, and contemporary art symposiums.
She teaches Art at the Professional College of Arts and Design of KNUTD (Kyiv).
