Peter Eugèn
Sweden
Peter Eugén is a Swedish contemporary watercolor artist
When my grandfather was an artist, i fell in love with painting at the age of six and have been a self-taught artist ever since.
Born in 1978 in Lapland.
I work with atmospheric landscape paintings inspired by Nordic nature
My works explore the relationship between light, water and drama through transparent layers and subtle tonal variations.
My signature has always been the water lily motif and it is based on my upbringing in the lush forests and deep lakes of northern Sweden.
With the motifs i not only want to show the dramatic changes in light and the interaction with the colors of nature, i also want to
tell stories. Stories from my upbringing, and what nature has meant to me.
I am established in the Scandinavian market but have also exhibited in the rest of the world. Even though i lived abroad many years i continues to develop a distinct visual language with roots in Scandinavian landscape traditions
With my art i not only want to convey a natural feeling, i want to make the viewer feel at home and filled with peace and harmony.
