Friday 15 July - Sassoferrato Castle:

"

"Artistic Cenacle": day of painting "en plein air" that will bring the jurors, the participating artists and those who want to join in the evocative medieval center of Sassoferrato, a city known for the famous Battle of the Nations in 295 BC. between the Roman militias opposed to the coalition fielded by the Etruscans, Samnites, Galli Senoni and Umbrians but also for its medieval remains of the Rocca di Albornoz (14th century) and many other centuries-old buildings made with characteristic stone ashlars. For the lunch break, participants can have a meal based on various appetizers and a first course on the adjacent terrace of the La Rocca Restaurant.

As part of the afternoon painting section, from 3.00 pm it is possible to follow a painting demo held by the Konstantin Sterkhov, internationally renowned watercolorist and member of the FW2022 Biennal Jury.

At the end, those who wish will be able to visit the civic museums of the city, thanks to the contribution of the municipal administration of Sassoferrato.

The organization will provide a bus for the transfer from Fabriano to Sassoferrato and back. The participation fee, including transport and lunch at the La Rocca restaurant, is set at 25 euros per person; If you only use the meal, the participation fee is set at € 20 per person.

• 11.00 / 13.00 Meeting of the Jury for the voting procedures of the works in competition;

• 3.30 / 5.30 pm free painting demo by Pasqualino Fracasso, Member of the Jury of the “Fabriano Watercolour 2022” International Biennial Award at I Giardini del Poio;

• 18.00 Official Inaugural Ceremony: welcome by the Mayor of Fabriano, presentation of the President and members of the Jury, proclamation of the winning artists of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize and delivery of certificates;

• 7.00 pm - Opening of the exhibitions:

"Artworks in contest"

11.00 am at the Museum "Zona Conce" - Fabriano: inauguration of the watercolor exhibition "Reflections" by Silvano Tacus.
- Free lunch of farewell and end of the meeting with return to the home destinations.
