Julie paints watercolour on paper. Her particular subtle lightness of touch creates atmospheric studies of landscape. Spare emblematic figures, trees and birds serve as figurative markers in the cooly-rendered space.

Julie has won many prestigious awards for her watercolours, including ING Discerning Eye, London, Royal Watercolour Society , London and Royal West of England Academy, Bristol.

She is currently working on a prestigious watercolour project with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, London. The paintings will be exhibited in 2028 when Kew will publish a book of her watercolours.
