My paintings are mainly expressive and aim to express how I feel towards a subject more than the representation of that in itself. It’s how this makes me feel. I am an emotional painter in love with colours, for the pure pleasure of them, each colour has a property that both expresses and affects our moods. Very often what I paint is from memories of places visited or inner landscapes that I cannot rationally express. The brushstrokes come from an unconscious part of me, I allow them to express what they want and after, they may represent something that was somewhere in there. I follow this impulse normally and am in awe about where I get, and how I get there.
For me painting is externalising my inner world completely.
