Tiziana Tagliabue

Italy

She was born in Monza where she lives and works, she studied sculpture and fresco painting.
She has been involved in restoration and since 1995 she has had a painting school in Monza.
She was fascinated by watercolor and she began a journey that led her to exhibit in prestigious galleries in many countries around the world.
In 2019 she fulfills the dream of bringing the international watercolor to Monza.
In her works, she uses a personal technique, seeking a subtle balance between the rational control of the drawing and the uncontrollability of the emotional charge expressed through the water stain.
Using products combined with watercolor, she creates portraits that change and mutate over time, progressively moving away from the subject. You are president of the International Watercolor Academy.

"I develop a very accurate graphite drawing I use pure watercolor with a particular predilection for mineral colors (such as Daniel Smith's sodalite) and then I intervene by breaking the rigidity of the forms through the use of some products from the Pyramid of the often that I use for the Restoration. This strong imprint of the paper continues, producing variations over time that give the work a life of its own, an autonomous development that frees me from the responsibility of the portrait and that captures my still moment for a moment and then resumes the movement towards an unpredictable conclusion.
The work presented seems to have finished her journey, but ... it's not certain "
