The inspiration for this painting came from a once in a lifetime opportunity to observe the set change between acts of the opera Tosca. The speed, accuracy and complexity with moving the very large set pieces in a short amount of time highlighted the synchronized teamwork. This painting portrays that fluidity of movement.
