I paint Watercolour due to it's versatile characteristics which helps me reflect modernity of afrcanism. I explore relationships between effects of colours, expressive figures or images, nature and identity.
I am inspired first by colours and history of my cultures then by ideas that evoke emotions, storytelling and intrigues of sublime effects.
My process is intuitive, with loose brush strokes and layers of more painting or reworking surfaces to open hidden layers to reveal diverse effects of Watercolour paint.
I work to influence viewers insights and sensitivity to see,feel my intentions and possibly the meaning behind painting.
