My name is Kate Grishakova. I am a professional artist and a member of the Slovak Union of Visual Arts (SVU) and the West Slovak Artists’ Association (ZVUZS). I also lead IWS Globe Young Art, the youth department of the International Watercolor Society and organize International Watercolor Festival in Bratislava, Slovakia.

My style is rooted in realism, enriched by a poetic and lyrical touch and elements of impressionism. I create vibrant works inspired by the world around me, by history, and by my inner emotions. I travel a lot, always searching for something beautiful, lively and transcendent. I try to capture fleeting moments of beauty, which is why I always carry my art materials with me and paint on plein air.
