Joanna Bożek
Poland
My works draws inspiration from the forgotten heritage of Upper Silesia, where I grew up, mythology and from the animal world. My works are dreamlike, on the border between reality and dream; the real world is just my starting point for an artistic exploration, the beginning of a journey. My works intertwines various watercolour techniques, landscapes, figures and animals. I use broad, bold brushstrokes and paint on large formats, which gives me greater freedom, panache and allows water to flow frreely.
