Foti Kllogjeri
Albania
Foti Kllogjeri’s work explores the intersection of memory, identity, and emotional landscape. Through layered compositions and expressive visual language, Kllogjeri examines the subtle tensions between past and present, reality and perception. Each piece becomes a dialogue—between material and meaning, structure and spontaneity.
Working across painting and mixed media, Kllogjeri is drawn to texture, movement, and atmosphere. Surfaces are built and rebuilt, allowing traces of process to remain visible. This transparency of construction reflects a deeper conceptual interest: how experience accumulates, erodes, and reshapes who we are.
Color plays a central role in the work—not merely as aesthetic choice, but as emotional architecture. Muted tones may evoke introspection and fragility, while bolder contrasts introduce moments of confrontation or awakening. The compositions often balance abstraction with suggestion, inviting viewers to project their own narratives into the space.
At its core, Kllogjeri’s practice is an exploration of transformation. It asks how environments—physical, cultural, and psychological—inform personal identity. Rather than offering fixed conclusions, the work creates open spaces for reflection, encouraging viewers to pause, feel, and reconsider their own relationship to memory and place.
