Cecilia Loppacher

Uruguay

I work in watercolor, exploring its expressive possibilities through transparency, layering, and the spontaneity of water.
My main thematic lines are portraiture, seascapes, and landscape. I am particularly interested in the representation of light and atmosphere, as well as in building emotional climates through color.
In portraiture, I investigate expression and character; in seascapes, movement and the energy of water; and in landscapes, the relationship between space, silence, and nature.
My practice seeks a balance between technique and sensitivity, allowing the inherent unpredictability of watercolor to become an active part of the creative process.
